Samarthya's Parents Manav and Nimrit both were dead when Samarthya was 5 years old.

Manav was the best friend of Ranjit Randhawa so after his death he decided to adopt Samarthya but he was tensed whether his wife Aparna will accept Samarthya or not but when Aparna saw the little Samarthya all calm and composed who did not cried at his parents death seeing him like this her heart sank.

So they adopted Samarthya as their son but he still used his father's surname.

Nikhil and Samarthya both are best friends and brothers.

Aparna and Ranjit never made Samarthya realise that he is an outsider for Aparna she has two sons Nikhil and Samarthya.

In her family there is no one apart from her two best friends and a neighbor aunty whom she find very stupid and funny. Her parents are divorced and they does not have any kind of affection towards their only daughter hence, she is craving for family and love. She is studying economics and works as a volunteer in NGOs and Orphanages.
